Hi Ray, interesting that one of the landing legs packed it in, which one was it? same thing happened to us last fall in Quesnel, except that it happened when the trailer was off the truck and we were levelling it (fyi in a moment of panic ONE leg will lift trailer up!) had great help from guys at ChemoRv in quesnel, as luck goes the only place in bc that had the legs was Gregg's rv in duncan which of course is close to where we live....but not where we were. Anyway it took 5 days to get the parts and 2 hours to replace the legs. Good decision on your part to get both legs replaced as all three service techs I talked with (two from Gregg's) suggested that you should never replace just one. The legs have never, even when new, run as smoothly as they do now. In retrospect I think maybe the issue with the nub on the gearbox bracket breaking may have been a result of the friction (and therefor torque) from the landing gear not operating correctly. The gears on our landing gear were stripped almost smooth about 5" from the top down. Hope everything goes well with the installation.

I bet you are right. It was the follow leg , the one without the motor. Legs should be here Wednesday.
Now that have taken the leg apart I can see where I should have been adding lube, the worm gear and collar nut, they were pretty dry, so with a ton of use like we put on it the threads slowly wore away. I had been adding lots of grease up at the beveled drive gears at the top and they were in great shape but it wasn't making its way down to the worm gear. They really need a grease nipple down there, otherwise the only real good way to lube it is to take the leg out.
It's really not too bad on my rig, should be able to do it no probs. I really don't want to chance things with jacks and such if I don't have to, just opens up things for damage if I jack in the wrong place. Would hate to bent something.

Did you find a way to detach Blue from the trailer? It would be a bit of a pain to change with the truck hooked up.
