Yup, a general store with deli and next door is like a 5 star resort with a bakery, spa, golf course , fancy restaurant and bar. It's just hellish here! I tell ya! haha
I was hoping you were being sarcastic. I was there last month and thought it looked pretty nice. You might wanna check out the saloon at the resort. They might be having some live entertainment.
BTW...did you see the big "parking" sign just north of town? That's where I spent a night on my way through.
Ya, It's called the Thirsty Goat Saloon after a goat that used to drink beer. They actually elected that goat mayor and his grandson is the latest mayor of Lajitas, but he doesn't drink beer yet. We met him, he is in a pen near the general store and gas station. Never saw the parking sign but we came from the north.

Doesn't look so bad, no snow, a mountain to climb, obviously internet available. Is there someplace to get groceries? And adult beverages?
Sorry, Ray...it's a drag, I know...
