@musicman60 Hey Hollis – thanks for the request. I’m just getting used to the website and I’m pretty sure I accepted your request. Tell me something about yourself and rig.
-
@laurentravel Lauren, are you a lone traveler? I am and I’m always looking for others. I get the ‘oh, you’re so brave to travel alone’. I laugh. I love it. So tell me what your rig is and where you are.

I travel mostly with hubby, haven’t drove this MH much yet but plan on doing so. Our home base is in B C about 2 hours from the Washington border where is your home base??

Oceanside California about 40 miles north of San Diego — where it will be 80 degrees tomorrow – how’s the arctic vortex treating you? It is suppose to be a rather cold winter — you best get out now. LOL

Weather here has been above normal. We are just now getting the fall rain. Here on south end of Vancouver Island we get very little ‘white rain’ . We leave that for the rest of the province.

@eddie I have a ’94 28′ Coachman Class C. I’m currently in southern California (which is where I’m from) for the holiday season and then I’m gone returning next year for the holidays unless I get to the Yucatan, love it, don’t want to leave . . . then family will have to come to me.
I believe I’m going to venture to the gulf coast of Texas…[Read more]- 3 people like this.

Wonderful travels to you Verna! When I was younger my family use to tell me I had “wonder-lust” for traveling so much. Now I am a little older I can see there was no way to enjoy just one spot of earth on the map. That’s why I love RV’s and boondocking so much, We can be all over this wonderful country and still have our home were ever we are.

Hiya Verna! Welcome to the RV Happy Hour!
-
Well Norma, I guess its just you and me. The reason I signed onto website was to find other like minded folk. (virtual drink of my alcoholic beverage (vdmab)) But few people seem to check in here. Do you know any RVers heading for the Yucatan in the spring? I figure to go the end of April (vdmab) and explore – in other words no real destination in…[Read more]

Don’t worry, Verna…the others will be along…we’re usually a pretty talkative bunch!
I’m stuck in Texas through the winter, finishing school and working fulltime, no so travel for me.
I’m travelling with a Yorkie named Chewbacca, in a 32′ Class C…don’t you love ‘em? Cheers!! lol-
I saw your candy cane vodka – I’m definitely going to try it for the holidays. I have to give myself kudos for today I replaced my alternator. Not as hard as I thought it would be. I was considering the Gulf Coast of Texas prior to my going to Yucatan. Maybe for a couple of months. Is it worth it?
-
Sorry Verna, Aileen and I have been repairing and upgrading our “little home” that we did not think to post to you. Tell us about your RV and camping travels, camp sites etc. we also will exchange info with you.

I’m 3 minutes old. Probably 4 now. . . I need mechanical help. Anyone familiar with the alternator in 1994 ford f350?
-
What’s the problem?

-
In order to change out the alternator it seems I must remove the radiator shroud in effort to get long bolt out? Am I missing something?
-
I began changing out my alternator by removing the long screen/bolt that holds alternator on. I got the bolt to needing a millimeter more space to get it out of the whole.
-
Sorry, I have a 94 too but have never had to remove the alternator, so can’t help.
Usually the shrouds aren’t too take to pop off though.-
Its the inside shroud and doesn’t look like it just pops out! That would be great. What’s your 94? Mine’s 28′ Santara/Coachman.

Mine is a pickup truck. 1994 Ford F350. We use it to tow our fifth wheel. I had a 89 Ford Van camper before and I remember had to take off the radiator shroud to replace the water pump. It came off with 4 or 5 bolts.
