    I find it hard to keep track of how long the generator has run, much worse with two units. I installed a hourmeter in my Champion 2000’s, found an area where the airflow is still cool enough not to cook the electronics. I wired it to the 12V outlet, something I’m not likely to use.

    The meters came from Gregg Distributing, if I remember right, about $70 per unit. I chose the digital because they are very long lived and small, the mechanical version has a very short life expectancy if exposed to vibration. I imagine you could probably find them on-line for less.
