Boondockers 1 month, 1 week ago · updated 1 month agoI just received a promotional 100-watt flexible solar panel kit from http://www.lensunsolar.com/. They were interested in a Love Your RV! review of the product. So far the construction quality looks really good. It has a matte type finish and is designed for marine environments. I plan to put it through some tests and see how it performs. It is…[Read more]

Boondockers 1 month, 3 weeks agoMonolith Garden Trailhead. It is run by the BLM. It is approximately 2 miles South of Junction State Route 68 and US 93. You can Only Get to it on the South bound side of US 93, due to the Hwy being divvied. It has lot of open space, a one stool toilet, and trash can. Looks like good hiking in the area. 14 day limit on stay. Only 2 miles from…[Read more]

More BLM land. It is a small pond approximately 2 miles south of Beattly, NV on the right side of US 95.
You can park in the cove area or out in the flat area. Looks like a good overnight stop. The town of Beattly is a nice little town to stop and walk around.

BLM land near Tonopah, NV. As you go South on US 95 through town look for the Texaco Truck stop on your Left. Also the BLM office is on the right. It is a road with paint strips all over it. You can go back and find your place. Watch the ruts when the pavement ends. It is no place to be in rainy weather. Has good Verizon LTE service 4 bars.

I spent a couple of days here. The place is run by BLM. Their is no fee box at this site. The lake is pretty to look at but don’t go to close due to the fly’s. If you stay back by the main road the fly’s don’t bother you. I found this site on freecampsites.com. Not much here but the lake, vault toilets, & trash…

We decided to only stay a week in Florida because of the heat. (Although we have full hookups here–one of a very few splurges) Karl wants to see Savanna so we’ll pop up there for a few days then make our way to cooler temps.
Dreaming about full time and reading about Ray and Annie’s adventures kept us working toward that dream.

Sounds like a good trip, I always add a trip to Sea World when we were near Disney, sometimes Universal studios. Any camping trip sounds good to me instead of pouring concrete ,always day dreaming at work of the day we can go for months at a time.

Hi Larry! 4 days into unplugging the electrical umbilical cord attached from house to RV and going full time. Spent last 3 days boondocking and loving it, although our pace has been fast. We wanted to use our Disney Annual pass which is up in June and before it gets too warm. So, we’re at the SKP club in Florida and we’ll be week at Disney…[Read more]

A company in Michigan made some flexible solar collectors what worked well but the sunlight quickly turned them yellow and brittle. Hope you have more luck. I thought of putting one on the tool box in the back of my truck and then putting it on a beach chair frame. It being low to catch less wind and the angle for summer is close with a folding…[Read more]
Hopefully, it’s better. It uses a new coating called ETFE which is supposed to be better and it’s backing is fiberglass.
I’ve read a few sailing forums where these panels were used on the boat with good results.
I’m thinking I may use PVC piping for an adjustable tilt stand and then use some sort of weights like sandbags to hold it down in the wind.
Played with it yet? How many amps?
Yes, just completed the review – http://www.loveyourrv.com/lensun-flexible-solar-panel-review/ Best I saw was 6.9 amps
