I did the same mod in the bathroom of our Cougar 297RKS. I hated the high pitched whine. I couldn’t justify the price for even the lowest level Fan-Tastic Fan. I didn’t run into any issues and it works great.

It’s a great solution. Being a safety nut, I recommend keeping an eye on the step’s rivets. I don’t know if it’s the same manufacturer (Elkhart Indiana is where many rv companies are based), but our rig came with a 4-step unit. We received a recall notice from Keystone to fix defective rivets that eventually break. All they did is drill them…[Read more]
