If you want to drive a beet truck you’ll need a CDL and the good money goes to the guys who drive the B-trains (110+ feet long). If you’re just looking at running a harvester or working the stackers at the dump point then no.

I’m going to assume you have your CDL and hopefully it’s a class A. I have a buddy who did it last year in North Dakota and he didn’t care for it but he’s REALLY picky about work trucks. I spent four days there about a week before you went. After having spent 35 years of my life in the desert I never imagined that I would willingly visit Death Valley but it was one of the most unique places I’ve ever seen. Next year when I’m back down south I’ll set up a motorcycle ride for a few friends and introduce them to the desolation.
