Neat bike. Bit pricey though. Will be interested in what you think of the bike in a few months.
Been kind of lurking in the background with the occasionally post and reading about all the people who are getting out of the sticks and bricks which is what we are aiming for (by the way rebuilding a house sucks). Lots of issues but what I don’t see much discussion about is leaving family behind to hit the road. How do you handle not seeing…[Read more]
Happy Independence Day to all of our US friends and a belated happy Canada Day (Dominion Day for us older Canuks). We have a large contingent of American cottagers here so it’s pretty much been fireworks and BBQ since June 30th. Keep well everyone!

Not knowing what your rig is but I would be looking for air infiltration at the leading edge (cap) of your rig. Some one recently posted about their rubber lifting because the cap was not properly installed.
@3greyhounds Eddie – thanks for the friends request. Nice fish!
@randyapril Thanks for the friends request. We have not been active for some time. Life throws some curve balls and you have to deal with what has been dealt. Looking forward to getting back into the RV lifestyle soon.
@hubsrvlife Hi how it going?

@hubsrvlife Is this little bugga the thermostat? I followed a large hose from the radiator and right beside the hose at the engine is this. A trucker was wondering if it was inside the hose. He didn’t look, just saying. Hello Carol! We have another rain shower coming, abt the 6th one today. They have been calling for a good thunderstorm as they h…[Read more]
@blazing1 David did you get the truck and trailer? How are they working out for you?

Yes we did get the truck and trailer, but have only been on one trip to Taber City, N.C. Jellystone Park. I think we are going to love it !!! Still working full time and looking forward to longer trips where we don’t have to be back so soon. Thanks for asking.

Well silly me…I took a contract again but only for the summer. Puts a damper on getting out to the east coast this summer. Still looking forward to a few RV outing with the grand kiddies.
@lolaandrush Thanks for the friendship request. With luck we will meet at a gathering.

JOB = Just Over Broke

I would suggest Skype. It’s a little heavy on data use, but $2.99 a month for unlimited talk all over North America works well for me. Both my kids, and friends are long distance to where I am now. Just text my cell “call me”, and I can usually connect within 5 minutes.
Thanks. We have used Skype before and it’s pretty good. Mama bear misses the grand cubs too much when we are away. As they get older maybe that will change. We are determined to get out there eventually. Will probably need to go see Eddie and get some solar put on too.
If your fortunate to see your grand kids a lot we understand the ?’s. We used skype on the road last year. Grandkids (8-6-4) enjoyed the skype. Wife did get a little homesick for them which is understandable. I myself am a little different. I know how I was as akid when it came to my grandparents. I only seen them twice a year and so I don’t feel…[Read more]
Some really great advice in there particularly making a schedule to skype or call that way you are pretty sure to connect with them. Our oldest grandson (9) has been RV’ing with us so he wants to know were we have been and what we have seen.
Thanks for the advice. Makes it easier to know others have the same issues.
Cheers
