J.O.B. grrrrr….

Hi all!  Sorry I’ve been away and missed you guys so much!!!

You know I’m still working fulltime until I can finish school.  Well the 20-something guy who was my protege…is now my boss!  They don’t know yet that I’m leaving, but they promoted him and gave him a company car and gas card and they’re paying for his cellphone.  Unfortunately, I’m stuck in a good ol’ boy corporation and if you’re female and work hard, they don’t wanna have to train anyone for your job so you get bypassed. 

It’s been crazy at work and I’ve been double-timing the studying, hoping to get out on time or sooner.  I really do NOT want to spend another winter here!!  lol!!

Today I had to take the Bock to the vet for an overnight stay.  He’s got a hernia.  They’re gonna surgery him up tomorrow morning, but he had to stay all night. 

Thanks for all the well wishes and I’ll stop by when I can.  I will live vicariously through you until I can hit the road!

Very good that you posted, I was getting worried about you!! I was going to phone and check you were all right.

About the job, sucks you didn’t get the promotion, but it does give you impetus to get what you need done, and there is an END DAY in sight. It will feel so freeing to walk out their door the last time! Let the new life begin! It will take some time to decompress from your old job, I’m still going through the process. 

Hope Chewy recovers quickly!

Glad you are OK.  Carol and I were pretty worried.  The news here is playing up the flooding and tornadoes in Texas to the point we were starting to think Texas would slide into the gulf.

Jobs can suck and it sounds like you have your hands full on top of it all.  Best of luck.  Keep your chin up and soon this will all be a memory.

Thanks for all the encouragement!  I love this forum!!!!

Chewbacca got back from the vet safe and sound, though it took about 3 hours for the anesthesia to wear off enough for him to realize he was home!  He goes back in two weeks to get his stitches out and must wear the Cone of Shame until then.  This is not making him a happy boy.

I got him neutered at the same time :eek: , for health and life expectancy reasons, and now I must face the guilt…lol!  I was just hoping with the other surgery that maybe he wouldn’t notice.  :mrgreen:

LMAO 4 out of 6 people say Jobs Suck!  I will agree and must be off to study some more to get rid of mine!

Hey Eddie and Aileen,I couldn’t remember previously,but I was looking at a map a few nights ago and remembered one of my all time favorite passes out west and there it was,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,TEN SHEEP.
Yep,went down that bugger last summer while doing some “ushipping” and while that is an absolutely beautiful piece of road with great views,if your doing that thing going westbound,wow mama, you sure wanna be on your toes for those hair pins close to the bottom don’t cha,LOL?.That road there will eat up some brakes in a hurry if you let it.

Yeah it s a for sure place that is tough on vehicles.  It is Ten Sleep,  Do not recommend without vehicle check, it is break place for sure.  Not much for those kind of places myself.
