Well, 2nd trip down and successfully completed. This time a commercial campground just west of Salem (OR). Very nice place – not really camping but more like glamping with swimming pool, hot tub, video library etc.
Anyhow – the trip (with our 4 y.o. grandson) was a success for sure.

Well, we completed our “shake down” weekend successfully – no problems packing up, hooking up and getting out on the road back home. But……. parking it at the storage lot was, uh, challenging to say the least. It took us an hour to puzzle it through and SEVERAL runs at the 90 degree slot with a spendy rig on one side and a supporting roof post…[Read more]
We’re out for our shake down “cruise” in our new to us 2013 Forest River Wildcat. So far so good – had a couple of glitches but nothing that couldn’t be remedied by a visit to the local Camping World across the freeway. 
This is a very nice commercial campground less than 50 miles from home so a good way to test the systems and get comfortable…[Read more]
