I found what looks like a pretty good site for $15 and under camping fees FreeCampgrounds.com Hopefully that will add to our boondocking places—which, btw, we take off in 8 days, 17 hrs, but who’s counting. We went ahead and upgraded the truck from a Chevy 1500, which pulled great but we were getting close to our wt limit, to a Chevy 2500HD. It should pull our Open Range light without a problem. We’re also keeping the OnStar so our pickup will be a hotspot. Hopefully that will be enough so we can keep up with the business side of life–I write and Karl does the formatting and publishing end (www.authorkarenkelley.com) . We think we’re ready for this: Med Rx’s in order and won’t have to see our doc for a year, bikes fixed so we can ride them for about a minute before we get winded, hiking shoes ready to be broken in—we are so out of shape. We’re going to be staying a bit in the Smokey Mountains and I’m pretty sure I can’t outrun Karl if we get chased by a bear. Oh well.

Hi Larry! 4 days into unplugging the electrical umbilical cord attached from house to RV and going full time. Spent last 3 days boondocking and loving it, although our pace has been fast. We wanted to use our Disney Annual pass which is up in June and before it gets too warm. So, we’re at the SKP club in Florida and we’ll be week at Disney starting tomorrow. Then we’re off to Savannah.
Sounds like a good trip, I always add a trip to Sea World when we were near Disney,sometimes Universal studios. Any camping trip sounds good to me instead of pouring concrete ,always day dreaming at work of the day we can go for months at a time.
We decided to only stay a week in Florida because of the heat. (Although we have full hookups here–one of a very few splurges) Karl wants to see Savanna so we’ll pop up there for a few days then make our way to cooler temps.
Dreaming about full time and reading about Ray and Annie’s adventures kept us working toward that dream.
Nice campground in Georgia right off 95 Blythe Island C.G. If you need a stop over.
