Fresh water is our first limiting factor on how long we can boondock. One little trick I use to help make it last longer is to use the dish water in the toilet. I do the dishes once a day an rather than let the soapy water drain out I fill a jug up and put it next to the toilet. we then use this water to help flush the toilet rather than all fresh water. Some folks will capture shower water for the same purpose, leaving a bucket under them during a shower.

We just got our grey water “special” jug for that purpose, at the club we are boondocking, we think this will help with fresh water and having to drain the grey and black water tanks alittle less! Everything helps!

I kinda like the fact you’re putting more soap in there too.  Every little bit helps, indeed.

I have seen how some have added a hose from the bathroom sink to the toilet to conserve on water. I don’t have space nor ready to rip up the shower floor to grab the water but it gives me great plumbing idea for when I wish to rip up and repair that section. I can add a valve so the shower water can drain outside to a bucket or into the grey tank. Thanks for the wake-up. You all are great. And I love the extra soap in the tank idea.
