    All good ideas – keep them coming.  The more I learn the more I find out I don’t know.  Looks like people should do their research before purchase re: surge protectors.

    Yes, some just will protect against spikes and check the power pedestal for a few miswirings. The better ones do a lot more like shut off power if the voltage is too high or too low and report the fault with errors codes.
