We have been having problems with little gnats everywhere, I was reading that they come through the duct vents and live in the black tank. How do you get rid of them? Eddies mom uses about 1/4 cup beer or wine or whatever you drink I guess and a drop of dish-washing soap in a jar and leaves it by a light so they are attracted to it, she said it worked great. So that might help, i just kill them but will try this when theyget bad again. She said it worked in her camper so mabe this is anther idea, good luck. Aileen

Ok RVfull timers, we r new to this and everything is good except fir the toilet smells! We are flushing the tank and tried the little pod.then tried orange liquid made for black tanks.Its good for maybe 2 days and then out if no where it stinks. Could be a dirty tank if it has sat for a while before you got it. One trick is to pour some detergent down there and then a couple bags of ice cubes. Take it for a cruise on a windy road. Then flush and refill a few times and flush.

The ice thing should work, Susan. Sounds like you might have leftover, uh, sediment.
After the ice thing, try a couple of gallons of vinegar and a couple of gallons of water and let it set a few hours, then flush the tank. AFTER the vinegar is out real good, you should be good to go, as long as your vent is open. You might smell the…[Read more]-
We have done the ice thing, quite often, really works great, especially if been sitting awhile, even though you dump might still have some stuck so yes try the ice it works for us. Good luck

An easy way to know if the vent is clear is to run a hose up to the roof and run some water down the vent. With the tank valve open the water should just flow out, if it backs up to the roof you’ll know it is clogged. Installs a success! New shower, faucets, countertops and toilet! Moving on to the fridge and convection oven! Making progress! Count down continues until take off day! July 4th!

What kinda fridge are you putting in?-
A fridgedare 4.4 cubic inch! smaller but works great! going to put a convection oven on the space above on a shelf! took the gas stove out and makin it storage space! thts the plan anyway!

Well we did it! Living in our RV fulltime! A little adjustment in smaller space and stepping over 2 little dogs, other wise we are loving it! Staying at nas navy base in Jacksonville Fl until July 4th. Nice quiet campgrounds! Friendly staff and wing nite on Wednesday @ Mulligans on the golf course. We got married too onMay 20th. small fry is 5, our little girl, animals 4 dogs and a bird, rv is a 40 ft 2008 copper canyon fifth wheel, have a terry taga long in Wy we want to sale, but needs cleaned up and a little fixing, but sure someone working or wanting to work in ND will want to buy it, but got to get back there to do it. that sounds like an awesome lifestyle. ok 5 yr old daughter. what a great life for her. mine are all grown! our 17 year old graduates and is moving to Tx with his bother. then it’s just our 2 dogs and us. had to find a home for my cockatiel! we will get up your way one day.

yeah it is going to great for her, we have our bird, gets a little crowded but we work it out, left the bird once, but the family just didnt give her enough attention and she was lonely, so we decided to bring her a long this time, sheis so happy now. aileen

raining and supposed to get hail here in sunny fl! got the carpet done by the drivers and passengers seats! that was a job and new couch cover and pillows! feeling more like a home now!
