Also not having a traditional house is kinda crazy . We are looking forward to learning , meeting new people . Exploring places we have never been . It is nice to see sites like these with positive feedback.

So many of our decisions are personal preference or situation! What to bring , what to let go of. Sell house or rent house! I desire a real minimal lifestyle, a 24 foot Class C can’t hold much so that actually helps!! Our adult daughter is going to rent our house which is fine with us! I have read so many variations. I think we know when a …[Read more]

If you can swing it, I hear South Dakota is the #1 choice, with Texas a close second.

Looking forward to getting on the road. It should be fun and interesting with our 2 chihuahuas and my 2 staffordshire bull terriers. They are our kids. Lol. They love people and love the outdoors. Probley lots of boondocking since some people do not understand our Staffordshires. They go everywhere with us. We also respect other peoples opinions…[Read more]

This is our first year of full timing and it is fun. We decided to be park hosts. We are in Nevada hosting now. In 8 weeks we go to Westport Washington for the summer then it looks like we need to choose between Galveston TX or San Padre Island TX for the winter both parks are supper, hard decision! We know what you mean. This is not a “normal” way to live. We have been living in our RV full time for 7 mos now. Our families are coming around now that they see the benefits of our life & how much we are loving it.
We did the traditional house thing for many years and didn’t find it that cheap and a ton of work to keep maintained. Living in a tiny condo is very normal, especially in big cities, our tiny condo just happens to have wheels.
Most of mine and Anne’s family thinks we are living the dream and envy our lifestyle.
When I talk to my dad on the phone, he always asks me how I like “living under that tree!”
Honestly, my family is very happy for us (at least that’s what they say!
) I have a few siblings who are looking into how they can retire and enjoy life ASAP!! Bob’s family is being very quiet. I think they wonder how we can do it, but are afraid to ask!! – Nancy
Thanks for all of the sharing. Our families think we will go broke out there. I agree with Ray,if we live in a house why can’t we live in a home on wheels. It makes sense to me.
