Hi Brandi G. It looks like you posted this question a little while ago, and I’m new here — so I hope you get this reply.

In preparation for moving to full time RVing, I started to look for jobs I could do on the road. My ‘area of expertise’ is administrative. I found a wonderful virtual job working as a virtual assistant for a company…[Read more]

@Rob & Karen or CaptnRob. I am a software developer but we are still ‘home bound’ for the next several months. When we get out there on the road I will be looking for remote opportunities but I’ve been thinking that it would be nice to develop my own “Product” or learn another programming language that could remove me from the dependency of…[Read more]

Sorry, I just saw this now. Never got any notification….

I have been working on my own product for a few years now but after coding all day at the “day job” I find that I don’t have much energy for it in my off hours. Prefer to spend my spare time with my family. Maybe eventually I’ll finish my project and monetize it…

About 6 weeks ago my…[Read more]

It’s been weeks since I’ve been on this site yet I see you answered my post just 29 minutes ago? Wow! What a coincidence.

I know exactly how you feel. I also have a “product” waiting for me to finish but have little energy to tackle it again. I’m pretty sure it has something to do with approaching that point in my life where I just want to stop…[Read more]

I’m a Senior Developer at a company that makes software for the property insurance industry. Mainly C#, ASP.NET and SQL now but in the past I used VB, VB.NET and a few others. Mostly Microsoft centered.

I’ve been working full time for myself for 15 years with a 3 year break working for one one my clients. Big mistake as I hate the office. So back on my own again for last 3 years – that was also about the time we decided to sell everything and go more mobile. We summer in our RV and winter in a hotel right now. All I need is internet and my…[Read more]

Do you know anything about Wix? They’re an online website builder- I’m looking to increase my website presence and started some research on them- just wondering if you have any friendly advice- thanks!

Hi Carla – Yes I’ve used Wix – it is very easy to use and a good place to start especially if you have never built a website before. I’d suggest if you want this to be a long term thing then go buy a domain name if you haven’t already done that. I think you can do this through wix too. That way if/when you get tired of Wix and want something…[Read more]

We just started full time RVing however we have to regularly come back “home” to Las Vegas for work- both my husband’s business and mine… He is a financial advisor and I am a massage therapist. I would love the opportunity to connect with other RVers so I can truly take my work with me! I look forward to the conversations I can have with others…[Read more]

While I have found numerous great sites for RVers wanting to make a living on the road they are all pretty much U.S. directed. Does anyone know of any Canadian related sites. I have done numerous searches and have yet yo find one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This couple is making a living on the road traveling the world full time and are from Canada. While not RV specific still worth a read, with lots of ideas and links to other websites.

I saw that someone else posted to check out volunteer.gov.  They have a lot of opportunities listed for the government.

    Howdy everyone,

I’m 25 years old, and my husbands (27)  job requires moving every 6-9 months. We take trips in-between jobs but I’m always looking for ways to maximize our income during the lulls. I’m a freelance writer and I’m sure a lot of you are aware, writers make GREAT money (sarcasm). I found this website that has job listings that come…[Read more]

I will be hitting the road towards the end of this year. I already have an etsy store where I sell handmade and custom items. I am planning to stock my store with handmade dolls while I am on the road. I also have lots of things that I will be making in my “spare” time. Do handmade items sell well on the road?

I’ve met people that make jewelry then sell them in RV park crafts fairs or follow a show circuit or swap meets and rent booths/tables to sell their handmade things. Not sure if how much it makes though..

Thanks for the info. If nothing sells at those venues, I don’t mind as I enjoy looking at all the things that other people make as well, and I have my etsy store that is doing fairly well.
