For those looking to buy that first trailer and hauler or you just want to know, here are some links to calculators.  Hopefully you will better understand the limits of your tow vehicle or what you need to purchase to haul that new trailer with all the bells and whistles.

I’ve not tried attaching links in this form before so hope this works.

This first one is the most complicated of the calculator – most accurate as well.

The next two are a little simpler.

    Hello Terry and Carol,

I haven’t read your links yet but I did check with my mechanic first before buying a tow camper with my van and recently I double checked my particular van and the transmission and I made it with 400 pounds extra and I won’t be loading 400 pounds into it, maybe 200. And I am taking out all the rear seats in the van to save on weight, which will be about 500-600 pounds total. I won’t be packing anything into the van except for my pup.

Thank you for sharing your info. I will have to read up on it later.

    Have a great Easter,

    Spirit and Kaiya
