Well just want to update all you helpful campers…We got light! popped in two of those 40 amp puppies plus hooked up battery so that it actually gets charged (thanks Roger for the clarification on the battery wires) and now our Skamper is back in business. Yep. Thats what caught our attention. It is pretty different then the typical waves and stripes you see on the RV sales lots. I must say though i do like the dolphins on the Dolphin motorhome

Thank you all for your feedback. My husband was able to pull out the fuses which happen to be 40 amp fuses and both were dead. Any idea other then Camping World where we can get some quickly?
Would walmart or autoparts store carry these kind of fuses?

Where can i go to get a pack of 40amp fuses? I think we killed our two 40 amp fuses on our camper and the little multipack we go at camping world does not have any 40 amps!

That sounds like fun. I looked up big lagoon state park, in Florida, right? We have a big lagoon state park over here just north of eureka, CA about 30 minutes on the north coast of Calif. Great agate hunting.

Hey all! Our camper microwave has died and we want to replace. Anyone know if there are microwaves that we should not buy? we just need to get a small microwave but is there a wattage or some other thing we should avoid?

here is my two cents Misty
Usually ones around 900 cooking watts are plenty and should work well and not overload the RV’s wiring. You could always go to a local RV sales outlet and walk through the RV’s for sale and see what is being used in them.
The big difference is the RV’s AC main power input rating. If it is 30 amp I would keep to a 800-900…[Read more]-

Misty, I have only 30 amps to work with. Ray’s right, as usual. I just checked and mine is a 800 watt. It’s a pretty good one. I don’t trip breakers as long as I don’t try to run the AC while it’s on…lol!

Us too! First day of camping in our TT we blew the circuits using the AC, lights, TV and plugging in our lights on our awning. We thought we had totally fried out electrical and called our guy that inserviced us on our camper the day before. Could be a bad thermocouple. There are some nice videos on you tube that can help. Just Google: “my atwood water heater pilot won’t stay lit”. Hope that will help.
