RV Newbies 2 weeks, 4 days ago · updated 2 weeks, 4 days agoAnyone have any experience replacing a window? The window in my bedroom by my bed doesn’t seal well and living in Wyoming, the wind blows, a LOT. Causing a whistling noise from the window, that drives me CRAZY!! So crazy, that I want to replace the whole dang window. The window now slides up and locks in to place at the top with plastic clips. I…[Read more]

RV Newbies 2 months, 2 weeks ago · updated 2 months agoHa! Told ya! I got a question. So living in Wyoming, cold weather is just around the corner. It gets bitterly cold here and the wind blows 60+ Miles per hours for days on end. We need to get the bottom of the RV insulated. Does anyone have any advice or someone that can point me in the right direction? We were looking at the snap on deals. But…[Read more]

@eddie is definitely the cold weather champ. I wrote up a cold weather RVing tips blog post based mainly on their advice – http://www.loveyourrv.com/tips-tricks-cold-weather-rving/

That was a great read! Thanks for that! Snow is right around the corner, so I better get on it!! I’m surprised it hasn’t snowed here in Wyoming yet (knock on wood)

If you can afford it, the very best would be spray foam insulation underneat your RV. We spent last winter in our RV in Ny. We added additional insulation inside. Here is our blog post about that.

We also posted additional winter tips here:

RV Newbies 2 months, 2 weeks ago · updated 2 months, 1 week agoHey y’all. I’m newb to this page and a newb to Full Time RV Living. Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself, as I’m sure I’ll have some questions. We moved in to our RV a month ago. We are fixing up the house to get ready to sell so we can start traveling full time. We have 2 kids. 10 year old daughter and a 5 year old son. We also have 2…[Read more]

Welcome! We are also newer to this life & understand your excitement. We started in May, but have been in a park & will just now start traveling.
-
That is so exciting!! We have a year or two until we start traveling. Just trying to tie up loose ends so we can get going!! We also started around May, but our plan is to pay everything off first, and be 100% debt free when we leave. We haven’t always made the right moves in life, so we have to play catch up for a bit. But I’m excited for this! I…[Read more]

Welcome! Hope you guys get into “fulltiming” soon, I know he was pretty done with the brown and ready to hit the road when we met last week. If you guys need any RVing info just ask, someone on the site has experienced it.

Is he the one who brought our Parts to Eddies a few weeks ago?
-
No Rush, he was in Sundance. I think he hauls stuff from Gillette to Sundance. Very nice guy, ready to get out and become a fulltimer.
Happy Trails—Solar Campers!!!-
He’s a swing driver, so he delivers all the routes. Mostly the out of town routes. It’s a tough gig. Money is good, but we are excited to start a life more about living then working to death.

Hi Randi! We used 3M window film for the inside of our windows in the winter and Seal ‘N Peel 10.1oz Removable Weather Caulk from DAP for the outside window seals. It will come off next spring just fine. I would remove it before the summer starts in because it could become sticky and be a bear cat to remove.
Happy Trails!!!
