Go to the RVHH Meetups, it’s right at the top of the page. There’s a link on the right hand side of most of the pages, just scroll down until you see the Groups section.

That helps — I got the map to come up. But —
a/ how do I add my location to the map?
b/ how do I add, for example, a “Good Eats” location.I followed the YouTube video, and a marker shows up when I enter a location. But when I click on that marker, nothing happens. I’m signed in to Google, and I’ve tried this on both Safari and Chrome browsers.

You’re doing better than I, I can’t even get a marker. Ray’s offline for a few days, once he comes back he can probably adjust the settings, as he is owner of the map. Google is fond of changing things and not telling anybody!

I just remembered, Ray sent me an invite e-mail when he was beta testing the idea. The link was in the email. Possibly you have to be invited to be able to edit.

Need an invite to edit once I approve the email.-
Could you update my new email as well? I’m slowly changing all my mail over to gmail for when we go on the road and disconnect from shaw.

@bobandnancy Howdy! I just caught up with the “Road Less Travelled” blog — hadn’t realized there was a friend request pending here. Some interesting points of contact: I’m Amherst ’64, Nancy. And for a while in the long process of early retirement worked as a personal trainer. I’ll be at the Escapade event here in Tucson for a day — I’m…[Read more]

You’ll pay a bit for having all the pieces in one “kit” — panels, controller, cables, case. But if you’re a newbie, as I am (was?) it’s comforting to know that it’s all here and is truly plug-and-play. You’ll need access to your coach battery bank every time you connect/disconnect it. That’s one consideration. Another is that the cable is…[Read more]

I’ve had real good experience with solar equipment from Renogy, bought through Amazon. It comes in a sturdy case, and can be set up in just a few minutes. It provides 100W of power, which keeps my batteries (2X12V, total of 170 amp-hours) happy during the day and gives me enough headroom for LED lighting in the rig at night, along with laptop…[Read more]

stop by the catwalk in Glenwood NM. Its a nice hike. Plenty of parking. Nice place to take pictures.
Just looked at the web site. Cool! Nearby camping suggestions? I’ll be meandering.
my suggestion would be hit The Catwalk in the morning. The you can spend the most of the day there. From Glenwood Nm to the City of ROcks is approx. an hour an a half drive from there. I know south of Glenwood before you get to Silver City NM there is a small lake. There is a sign marking it off the highway. I have always passed by it but never…[Read more]
