Interstate 10 will be closed indefinitely between Route 86 and the Arizona State Line after a 30-foot section of a bridge collapsed in Desert Center east of Palm Springs, trapping a truck driver, after heavy rains caused flooding in the area, a Caltrans official said today.
“You’ve got one section (of the bridge) that’s undermined and anoth…[Read more]

I pull our ford focus with a toad. One thing to consider is: find a trailer mark down the weight add the weight of the car and make sure you don’t exceed the towing capability of your rv. Also when looking for a trailer try to get one with trailers brakes.

I assumed you had a truck, my bad. You can do two other things. Install a hitch on the back of the trailer. You can purchase I seen them at walmart also, a steel basket that attaches into the hitch receiver. You can store your gas can in that while you are traveling. My first camper had a square bumper which I had a cage mounted on the back. Had a…[Read more]

When we had out 5th wheel our first truck was a gasoline engine. We had an auxiliary tank in the bed that I would run a line from that tank to the fuel tank for the generator. When we traded out the truck for a diesel I started carrying 3 fuel cans with gas. With a fuel tank and the 3 cans I was able to go 4 days without having to get more fuel.

I wanna know how the guy next to you puts out his awning in 300 mph wind and it doesn’t move. I put mine out and I blow on it and it tears rips flips the coach over. Whats the trick.

Since you own a class a it wouldn’t be hard for an air ride seat to be installed. not only do they ride on air they also have an ability to rock back and forth to really make a nice ride.

If you go to a large truckstop. example Iowa 80 truckstop one that sells chrome all sorts of goodies for truck drivers you will see seats for sale. The seats in a 18 wheeler are air ride, meaning so they can be adjusted more. Prices are high in my opinion but when it comes to back problems there is no such thing as high if it works. There is a…[Read more]

We have a dirt devil central vacuum cleaner and it works pretty good on carpet floors, Our has several attachments to get in all the nooks and crannies. They are easy to install. One trick is install in the middle of the coach so the hose will be easy to move to the front and back.

FYI also you can go to an auto parts store and by an electrical spray. I used one once on my headlight on my car and boy do they work cleaning dirt and grim, Plush it evaporates fast. Little went a long way

In an earlier post on this I mentioned taking photos and inventory on items inside for proof of what’s in there. This happened to a good friend of mine. I don’t know what insurance he had or has. His home was robbed and when they asked for inventory of what was stolen he provided it. His insurance asked him for receipts and proof and he couldn’t…[Read more]

wow we had a bridge collapse after as truck hit it on I-5 a couple years back . it caused backups for months till they got it fixed.
Wow, that will suck big time!
We were going to use that for trip back to Florida later this year. Looks like Lola will have to find another route.
I recommend taking 40 across and then taking hwy 287 in tx and cut down towards dallas. Another way would be drop down to 8 then over to 10 around eloy az. One thing to consider is I would detour before getting close to that area. Detour pretty far back in order to avoid traffic
