Hey fellow RV’ers. So as promised I released my first of many videos about the work I’m doing on the old trailer. It’s coming and the videos are behind a couple of weeks but will soon be caught up to almost real time as I’ll be releasing the next ones very soon. Let me know what you think. I have so many more ideas for when I finally hit the road…[Read more]

Slowly making headway – AND VIDEOS. I should have started making videos the day I bought this old beast but I didn’t. I just really didn’t know there would be any sort of demand for what I would have to say about “learning” to fix one. That changed yesterday as I figured “better late than never”. I’ve got a plan for my WOTR Youtube channel that…[Read more]

Eddie, your solar based posts are always helpful to me as I’m quite perplexed by it, (if you couldn’t tell yet).

Reading about other peoples set-ups really helps me gauge what I’m going to need, which isn’t much.
Just sayin. Thanks.

Hey friends. I was looking for the “list” to add my blog to but the forum just loops back to this group.
Anyway. I’ve been blogging while on my road trips for a while. Newly revamped the look and features for the next adventure. More photography, more weird roadside attractions and now some RV related stuff once I get going.
In case it wasn’t…[Read more]

Still working on the old tin beast. The roof was resealed before winter. The leaks identified and fixed. The outside got a funky coat of silver and orange paint. Construction on my workstation in the interior front is coming along slowly due to the cold weather and dark nights (after work) but almost ready for finishing trim and paint. Then it’s…[Read more]

Wayne Stadler replied to the topic Trojan T-105RE battery bank install in the forum Mods and Upgrades 6 months ago
Thanks for all the insight Eddie. It all really helps. My trailer is small and I don’t need a lot of juice for the normal things but like Anne I’m also a photographer. One that is on a budget therefore the trailer purchase came with a condition of I had to figure out a way to use my iMac desktop computer for my photo editing as there was no longer…[Read more]

Hey Eddie, thanks for the great info and photos of your set up. I’m looking into solar and two Trojans for my little trailer. I understand that the RE series are great for solar but what about generator charging? Also, a more general question from this newb. With a solar setup, when camping with shore power can that be used to recharge your…[Read more]

Wayne Stadler replied to the topic Fun Times Ahead! – Repairing leaks on my vintage trailer. in the forum Repairs and Maintenance 6 months, 4 weeks ago
Hey folks. I figured I’d post an update.
After stripping out the old paneling in the front section as shown in the photos I started to find more rot. I’ve removed all paneling from the front section all the way back to the door frame and then almost back to the kitchen cabinets. (not sure how I’m going to transition the new paneling into the old…[Read more]

no worries. I wish it was and that I was done. Have a lot of work ahead of me but kind of excited for the final result. Just have to get things sealed up again first.

Love those DIY projects! Good luck and give us some pictures along the way.
Happy Trails!!! -
Thanks Eddie and Aileen.

Instead of the bench/two bunks it’s going to repurposed to a photo editing/computer work station, cabinet to store my generator and possibly spare tire just inside the door, with shelving storage above the whole thing. :D -
Good deal, love it!

Well, I tried adding captions to each photo but they just disappear. :|

So I’m fairly new to this site and just as new to “RV’ing”. I recently bought an old vintage (1971) 13 foot travel trailer to be my home on an extended FT road-trip for my photography.
I’ve started getting things checked and fixed, things like new tires, priced out batteries etc that will suit my computer/editing needs. A few days ago we got hit…[Read more]

Welcome, Wayne. Any questions, fire away, I think you’ll find many knowledgeable friendly RVers here. Happy to help out.

Thank you Ray. You’ve been an awesome help so far with my questions regarding the batteries etc. Have a raincheck for one of those Champion generators like yours. They had them on sale for $499 but were out of stock. More coming in August 4th.

Looking forward to watching the DIY videos of the project, should be interesting! We don’t have much cheap bandwidth now but when we return to Van Island in the summer we get hooked on decent WiFi and can stream to our hearts content.
Thanks Ray. I’m not sure how useful they’ll be but it’s definitely a learning adventure.
