I do want to ask for your opinions though. In your opinion, what upgrade/modification to a newer Class C motorhome with no slideout would give me the most bang for my buck in terms of usability AND resale value?

I am sure you all know this, but..this is high tourist season in Flagstaff and there is NOWHERE to stay that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. I was blessed to find a KOA right down the street from where I was going to stay and just car camped there for two nights. I highly highly recommend a stay here. We find KOAs are usually very nice. Like a chain fast food place, it may not be the best but you know what to expect!

Most all the KOAs that we have stayed at are real nice, do not do to many but the one in Statesville,NC is nice, lots of things for thelittle one to do, has a big jumping pillow she loves, that will probably be out first stop whenwe load up and header west. Aileen

Ill-fated trip to Arizona for work last month. That did not last. I was physically miserable the entire time “altitude sickness” “dry heat” and pollen. Live and learn. I am staying here for about two weeks as my work assignment has ended here and waiting to move until I find out where I am going next. Nice area, along the coast there, we have spent time in RV parks near Gilroy and Hollister (close to Pinnacles National Park, nice hiking there) and day tripped down that way to see Monterey/ Carmel, didn’t make it to Santa Cruz tho. Maybe next time.

Honestly, I am at the mercy of the next job. So at the moment, I have absolutely no idea where I am going. Frustrating, I tell you. Perhaps Arizona or just a little north of here. I, too, adore Santa Cruz. It is going to be so hard to leave.

heard the santa cruz is a wonderful place to go and see, Eddie iskind of the same way, what ever job comes next, we get out of here, and back to Wy will probably go to trucking again, or back in the oil field he will do something, , but have to get out of here, so doing AC work right now, it is a little work, every little bit helps. aileen

You are absolutely right. I have to remember that I have been so blessed to have experienced the places I have seen and met some extraordinary people. The uncertainty is hard, but again, it is how I have chosen to work right now. Hang in there and enjoy the ride.

When you refer to bed topper, do you mean you put this on top of a mattress? When I bought this rv, it only came with a foam “mattress”, which is queen sized. I tried jerry-rigging a mattress here, but uncomfortable and heavy, so it is gone. I am actually more comfortable with the foam. Wonder if I could just put the memory foam thing on top…[Read more]

Hi Norma. Thank you. I loved them too. I had taken them off of RV for a period of time as I worried a minute about identifying myself as a female out and about, but I miss them now.
