Bought aking size bed topper from Cosco for the RV and it works great…my question is do you have to take it off for storage of your RV for the winter? Not sure how you would fold it back up? Will it absorb moisture through the winter months?
Thanks in advance for yor replies.
Cheers
Bob

You didn’t mention what your topper is made of, memory foam perhaps?
Anyway this site suggests getting good air circulation around the mattress and, I assume, toppers.
Good question, I am thinking about what to do with ours.

April 29, 2014 at 9:50 pm #2375We have a small dehumidifier that works off of some kind of pellets. We keep it in the RV and empty the water every couple of months or so seems to work I’ll try to post a pic. We got it at a local hardware store. It’s small so works well in the RV.. Living on the west coast we get alot of moisture and haven’t had any mold issues so far.

Happy Trails!!!May 20, 2014 at 10:28 pm #3254Interesting, I never thought about this when our 5th wheel is in storage. We definitely need to get the dehumidifiers in it. It gets so hot and humid here in the Summer. Thanks for bringing this up?
May 21, 2014 at 9:21 am #3268We just got back from our first long trip and we are sure glad we bought or memory foam topper. Love it!!
May 22, 2014 at 6:39 am #3290That was the best Mod we ever did in our RV. Good nites sleep!
May 22, 2014 at 9:19 am #3300When you refer to bed topper, do you mean you put this on top of a mattress? When I bought this rv, it only came with a foam “mattress”, which is queen sized. I tried jerry-rigging a mattress here, but uncomfortable and heavy, so it is gone. I am actually more comfortable with the foam. Wonder if I could just put the memory foam thing on top of what I have. I try to be cognizant of weight in the RV, but comfort is a definite.
Thanks so much for all of the insight here.
