Move completed. So tired. Looking for things to wear, eat, etc. Glad I found my computer! And Happy Canada Day to all that celebrate that holiday.

Its hard to escape all creepy crawly flying things, but I like the beach because there is little vegetation to attract critters, its too hot for most bugs, by the water there is usually a breeze to keep bugs away and the sunsets and sun rises are awesome.

We just moved back to the St. Louis MO area and yesterday it was in the 90s, but the heat index said 105.
Can you believe that Camping World sells the Sleep Number bed for RVs? We are looking to buy one for our house so I was surprised they have camper beds too.

Googled Camping World – they have a lot of stores all over the US. Will likely stop at the one around Little Rock on the way down in Oct. Lot’s of neat stuff and I like neat stuff. Toys, must have more toys!
-
Be careful! You could spend lots of $$$ in a place like that!

I told the guy my first time in, “Man, I gotta get outta here! I’ll spend too much money!” He said, “We get that alot.” hahahahah

Hi Gail, My Mom & Dad have a sleep number bed for RV’s in there class-A. Mom has a bad back and Dad likes a soft bed, so thay can ajust to there needs. All I’ve herd from thelm is thay won’t go out RV camping without the Sleep number bed.
Thay are in to the 70 age range and I can understand wanting to have comfort when your sleeping.
Happy Trails!!! -
I love Camping World! It is this store that gave me every thing I wanted and with a smile. They are located on Cape Cod. I can’t wait to go back! I could give them my entire check and I’d still be spending money.

You bet Roger! Unless you get the heaver air down at sea level!?!?!?
Happy Trails!!!-
Wait, so if I get above sea level, I’ll weigh less?!?!? I’m in!

My challenge is how to continue my “at home” business while snowbirding a couple months of the year. I can keep up with my customers by email and my web site, so what orders I have already established will go on. But how do I generate new business in areas I might only visit once and never return? A large part of what I do is teach classes and…[Read more]

Just got my new Camping World savings circular in the mail. For me, Its like the old Sears wish book that I looked forward to each year around Christmas. Too many items to add to my RV wish list now.
@raytronx Help. Can’t get my pictures to our site from my computer. I watched your video and made a couple new albums, then I tried to upload my herring picture from my computer, would not work, then I tried to attach a file, still nothing. Then I tried to drag the picture to the area in the media section for the picture, still no luck. What…[Read more]

Hi Gail here is a howto video – http://rvhappyhour.com/forums/topic/photo-uploading-howto/
See if that helps. -
There was a glitch that Ray tried to fix. I don’t know how successful he was at it but it wasn’t taking pics larger than 2mb. I had the same issue a week ago myself.

Gearing up for the trip to Highland Illinois from Peachtree City Georgia. It takes us about 10 hours to drive it straight through. We have taken a longer route through some beautiful mountains (small compared to out west) in northern Alabama, but we usually go up I75 in GA to I24 through Tenn past Chattanooga and Nashville, then on to Kentucky…[Read more]

We go through Kentucky on I24 on the west side of the state. I love to stop in Paducah which is not to far from the Illinois line. The National Quilt museum is there, and my favorite fabric store, Handcocks of Paducah is there too.

Gail Joyner replied to the topic Games Played in an RV –What is your favorite game? in the forum Fun Stuff 1 year, 5 months ago
I remember that game!
I use a bungee cord to keep larger bottles (like soda) in the fridge from rolling around, just hook the bungee ends on the edge of the shelf and stretch it across to the opposite side of the fridge, it depends on how your fridge is configured. Also I like using the heavy strength velcro to attach small items to the counters. Get the kind that y…[Read more]

That is so cool! They sort of have a similar area near Palm Springs, the local grocery store even has a big area set aside for golf cart parking. You see some pretty tricked out carts.
Yea, there is one here that has the front and rear end of a Cadillac!
Gail can you rent golf carts or do you have to have your own?
Cool!
You can rent golf carts at several places around town. Used ones are always available to buy pretty cheep. The most expensive thing is the batteries, unless you get a gas powered cart.
Can you bike on those paths?
Yes you can bike, walk/run, drive a golf cart, skateboard, anything that only runs up to 15 miles an hour. Cars are not allowed on the paths. There is a special golf cart called a LSV Low Speed Vehicle that has two speed controls, one for the paths (only 15 miles per hour) and one for a road (up to 35 miles an hour). They are very cool. If we…[Read more]
