Your back brackets are Metal The ones we have are plastic.. Wonder where to buy the ones like you have. We don’t have ball bearings so your slides must be different than ours. Thanks for showing me that there are metal brackets available some where

The part that breaks is the plastic support that is attached to the wall that holds the metal slide that the rollers go in. They seem to split on the underside of the plastic and then eventually the drawer drops.

This may have been discussed before but I’ll ask anyway. Does anyone else have problems of drawer supports breaking? Seems an unending problem in our Jayco. We try not to put heavy items in drawers but silverware does weigh alot. Wish they would make metal supports instead of plastic.
We were down in the RGV of Texas this winter. Stayed the month of January @ a park in Mission and February we stayed nearer to Harligen. We stayed at a park in Laferia. 1st timers at the park could stay for &199.00 a month for their first month there, then it would be regular rate after that. It was a quiet park and had an indoor pool & hot…[Read more]

@sharley Hey Sharon. Thanks for the recommendation. We’ve booked there for 6 months. This is our first time so what we are going to do is travel around the different areas to get a feel of it. Then we will have a better idea of where we want to spend our time – month here, a month there – for the following year.
Just looking out the window and…[Read more]

I think you will like the valley, lots to do and see and understand winters are usually pretty warm most of the time. We are in Mission, Tx, but don’t think we would come back to this area. I agree with Sharon that Mission and McAllen are much too busy and loud! Haven’t been in La Feria, but know the area. When we return, we will choose a place…[Read more]

Welcome Sharon. 199$ is a great deal. Wish it was like that back home in BC this summer, we are looking at 650$ per month and that is cheap for Vancouver Island, arrgh.
Hi Sharon, Welcome!
How did you like RGV? Where did you stay in Mission? We are still there working for our site, but will be leaving middle of April. If we come back, we will go further south. Too much city here for us and definitly would not return to this park. If you don’t mind me asking, what is the park you moved to in Laferia?
We are looking at this area for our first snow bird winter. Want to be outside of the cities but close enough that we not spending a lot of time traveling to get supplies. Any suggestions?
I am sending the website of the park we stayed at in LaFeria. It is about 10 miles west of Harlingen. It’s a small town but has lots to offer. The Park we stayed at was Kenwood RV Park. It is a 55 plus Park. Activities and entertainment to keep you busy if you want. Has lots of trees, cement patios, indoor pool and hot tub, laundry on site,…[Read more]
Thanks Sharon. Finally had some down time to look at the site. Rates are good and currently have available spots.
Hi Sharon, thanks for the great info, we are planning on visiting my husband sister near there, this will be a great option!
Cheryl, See the previous reply sent to Terry and Carol for info on our last park. We stayed at Bentson Grove in Mission. Really liked it there. Everyone was super friendly and LOTS of activities also had indoor pool and hot tub. Where are you work camping in Mission? We moved to LaFeria because we wanted to see a different area while we were…[Read more]

This park sounds very nice, and closer to where we wold like to be when we return. We may not come back next year as we want to try a few months in FL. Going to stop making 6 mo commitments to jobs because if you are not crazy about area, you are there too long! Have seen Bentsen Palms when we went to Bentsen SP and looked nice! Much quieter there…[Read more]
This might be a really noob question….what is the difference between the Standard and Premium sites? This looks like a really really nice place and the rates are great!
Are you asking about Kenwood? I’m thinking to premium sites were a little larger and cost more a month. This park is right on an interchange for easy on and off but if you’re against highway noise you may reconsider. Another really nice park we looked at but it is more expensive is Victoria Palms about 7 miles east of Kenwood. You could check…[Read more]
