    Thanks Jon, that’s one great thing about having an older truck, they sat much lower than the newer ones, making it easy to get good level. Tows like a dream, very stable in winds and turns.

    I see some folks with big 4×4 modern trucks towing with the fivers nose way in the air, or they have to flip the trailer axles changing the trailers center of gravity.

    I have a 2008 F350 that I tow my Cougar  318 with but it is only 2 wheel drive and sits lower than a 4×4. I think it has much better center of gravity than a 4×4 and my wife does not need a ladder to climb in.  I live in Michigan but in all the years I owned 4×4 trucks I can count the number of times I actually needed 4 wheel drive would be on one hand.

    Ours is a 2 wheel drive as well and sits pretty low, especially compared to a new 4x4s. Makes it a lot easier to get things out of the box.
