I hope you’re happy with yourself, Ray… After admiring Anne’s Snoopy, now I have boat fever.

May 7, 2014 at 2:55 pm #2670Better find a pill to cure that fast, it is waaayyy more expensive than RV fever!

May 7, 2014 at 5:25 pm #2677Im guessing your talking about boats , I missed the post about Annes Snoopy. Went to Marathon Keys 20 yrs ago and rented a 21 ft parker had a great time. Caught fish saw all kinds of dolphins turtles ect. It took me this long to get a boat, but last year went to South Port NC, bought a used 19 ft Montauk . This year and last year have been using it on Cayuga ,finger lake near Ithaca. I plan on towing it behind truck camper, fishing, and diving ,also want to try spearfishing. Just took a refresher course since its been a lot of years since I used scuba. Wish I grew up around sailing would have liked to try it.
May 7, 2014 at 5:31 pm #2678Yes, Larry, Ray’s wife has a boat named Snoopy! I just want a little sailboat to putz around the lakes with, read a book, do a little fishing. That would be SWEET!
I would have loved to learn scuba, but the lakes around here are probably too muddy to see anything…except for that giant catfish I don’t want to know I’m swimming with anyway…

May 7, 2014 at 6:18 pm #2682Here is a shot of Anne a few years back piloting her Snoopy boat in a narrow strait in the Gulf Islands. We had a successful launch today and Snoopy is all ready to go any time she gets a chance, moored at the docks near our RV Park.
RVHH Chief Cook and Bottle Washer - LoveYourRV.comMay 7, 2014 at 7:22 pm #2687Ray, that is one happy lady you got there under “Power”! And your right about the sea bug being more expensive than RV bug. Every part on a boat is SS or brass and it takes loads of $$$$$$$>
May 8, 2014 at 4:27 am #2693Very nice boat Ray and Anne ,with that enclosed back for bad weather, looks like a cuddy that you can sleep on. Im saving as we speak for a used 22ft c-dory for camping on. Norma that’s a nice way to relax. Two years ago I went on a ride in a C-Dory in St Petersburg area, the guy was very nice,to show us his boat. He doesn’t fish ,never anchors, just drifts around and reads, sounds like a good way to destress. I figured I would learn on a center console ,then after a few years switch to a closed cabin. Practiced docking all last year in different conditions ,wind ,current ect.
May 8, 2014 at 5:52 am #2694…and now I know what to name my boat…

The SS Rude Awakenings…lol!

May 8, 2014 at 9:14 am #2706I love my Snoopy
It has a canvas roof that can come completely off, but I find it keeps the wind down on a cool day and provides a little shade on a hot day. The cuddy is just little. I could cram myself in there if I had to, but it’s mostly for storage. Although my old dog Oscar used to love going in there. A section of the floor in the cuddy comes out to reveal a porta-pottie (very handy). I love just exploring around and finding a good place to float and enjoy the peaceful scenery.May 8, 2014 at 9:17 am #2707Here’s a photo of Oscar and Angie enjoying Snoopy.

May 8, 2014 at 9:34 am #2712@Larry C-Dory is a great boat, see a lot of them here on the west coast. Very popular with fishermen and handle the ocean waters well. The waters around Vancouver Island stay pretty cool even in summer so enclosed cabin boats are popular to stay out of the wind or rain.
RVHH Chief Cook and Bottle Washer - LoveYourRV.comMay 8, 2014 at 9:42 am #2713Hi Norma!
Boats are awesome, you should totally get one
I love being out on the water. There’s something so therapeutic about it. Even just a small boat with a little engine on it will get you out there. Or a little sailboat, they’re lots of fun.Oscar and Angie always looked so cute together. Oscar is gone now, I miss him so much. Ray and I already had our beagles when we met.
May 8, 2014 at 1:15 pm #2714See, you guys! :P
Oscar is romping around at the Rainbow Bridge waiting for you, Anne. I have a pupster there too. I really, really believe that.
You need a new website. “Beagle Brigade!”
