we recently replaced our water pump with one like Ray got. When we cut water on in shower pump would cycle on and off. First thought we had air issue, but when I removed head off controls and tried water pressure pump ran fine. I cleaned oxygenic head and it still cycled. So while in Camping World I picked up new head and it cured the problem. One on left is the new one

The Oxygenics doesn’t have a complete shut-off valve, it’s just reduces the flow to a dribble so that’s why the pump would cycle to repressurize the line. It’s not broken.

The theory behind why it isn’t a complete shut off is to try and regulate the water temp. It’s to avoid getting scalding or very cold blast when turning it back on. Whether it works that great or not is up for debate.

Adding in a true shutoff valve  is another option to complete replacement.

I understand what your saying Ray, but if you have the button on and turn hot water on and cold water it still cycles with water valves almost wide open. With the hot side wild open it still cycles so then you turn cold on to cool hot down it will still cycle so you turn more cold on and it will stop but water temp is to cool. Since we put the new head on we are able to regulate it and pump not cycle. Its crazy man. Dum fuzzles me. Thanks for the help though.

Yall be safe in your Southern run. We leave Sunday for Vegas then next Thursday we leave back to the east coast for family and Thanksgiving. When you get settled in somewhere send me a address and I’ll send you an update with the Magna Inverter. Take care Ray and tell Angie hello for us. She’s a lucky dog.
