OK solar experts, if I install a inverter with a charger how do I prevent the charger / converter in the RV from also trying to charge the batteries at the same time. I have a 4 stage 65A charger built into the RV converter, it’s a Progressive Dynamics unit..

Hi JJ, you can just turn off the beaker to the Progressive Dynamics unit. Then if you need to isolate the inverter/charger if you put the RV in storage mode or something was to go wrong with the combo unit you could just flip the beaker on to the PD unit and still charge the battery bank.

    Happy Trails!!!

Thanks Eddie, think I will do like most folks and start to assemble the parts and perhaps next year will do a self install.
