Well back in October while out west we were moving to Moab, Ut. and after arriving and setting up for a stay Lola found that the frig. was starting to thaw. We had just arrived no longer than 30 mins and there was quite much thawing so we new that it had been since we left our last campground.
We are presently in Aruba and BB(RV) is back in Miami. Its parked at a relatives so my Mom flew down from NC and is enjoying the warmer weather staying in it while we are gone. She called yesterday and said the frig. has quit and so here we go again. I am going to replace it. I wanted to ask what type do you suggest to replace it with? No commercial type just the standard RV type. Should we go back with Dometic or another type.
14000 plus miles and only 34 months old and BB has had replaced its tires, tape roof and slide-outs, bearing seals and brake pads, numerous water leaks, now the awning is not working along with theres a bad leak on shower gray water tank, and last but not least the frig.
We should have just about cured all the problems for a while when we get back and fix, awning, frig, and gray water tank. Bad thing is we are on the road away from home. Have to put it in shop and fell it will be down at least a day or two.
I can’t count on my hands without going to my toes to add up all that has been wrong with our BB. She must had been built on Friday and finished on Monday. All in all we love her. I talk junk about it but she is nice and has been good to us. Well Happy Trails to you until we meet again.

February 26, 2016 at 1:00 pm #25102Well the Refrigerator wows have continued. While in Aruba my mom has been living in RV and one morning she got up and frig. had stopped again. Told her to cut it off. After returning from Aruba on Feb. 10th we hit the button and next day it was cool. We were careful not to put much in it while we still are at cousins house. Seven days later it stops again. We called around to the only RV dealer here and Orlando. No way to work us in till March 7th. We have a passport America rally to attend March 5th so we couldn’t wait till then. I went to dump RV at local spot and asked for any RV mechanics and was put on to a Man who was a roving repair truck. He was able to come look at it fairly soon. As we expected him to say it has a blockage, or vapor bubble. So next I call Dometic and they tell me I still have a month on warranty. Keystone had miss led us and told us it was only one year. I contact local Dometic dealer and they setup appointment, now I hope and pray frig. stays broke till this appointment but guess what happens the morning we get up to move RV to repair. Yep the damn frig. is back working again. Pull it to dealer and tell them all that’s took place. Well aint no one able to fix something that’s not broke. 3 hours after we take it they call and say lets talk. As soon as we get there of course he says its working great. I show them the receipt from the repair man where it had been broke and showed them the area that blockage was in and they say well its working fine now nothing we can do. Well I and my wife look him straight in the eye and tell him take it out and put us a new one in.
Now this was Monday around 12pm. He says well it should be here by Thursday at the latest. Thursday evening I call and no frig. This morning I drive there and wait till they open doors, guess what. The services person we are dealing with calls to find out where its at and Conway trucking is the delivery service and there records show the damn thing has been dropped off at a Miami Acura dealership. They call and its not there neither. Calls back to Conway and it takes them 5 hrs to locate where some stupid human being has dropped it off. Now they have to go retrieve it and it want arrive here till Monday if we lucky.
We are lucky we are here at my cousins home. Got to be greatful for that. What a adventure its been. Retired in July, traveled 15000 miles and two lose axles, shower stall leaking, had to tape whole roof border with eternal bond, frig. has shut down now three times, had two belts break on tires so replaced all four, slide-outs sound like they about to come apart, grease seals broke and had to replace all four along with brake account grease was all over them, and the last we had to replace our kitchen faucet. oh I forgot the awning want stay out and front black water tank is leaking. I got to get those fixed when we get back to Carolina.
This 2014 280 RLS Keystone Cougar is a real piece of crap. You all have a blessed day.

March 4, 2016 at 5:33 am #25327Well Update. Not hearing any thing on frig. by 3pm I drove down to dealership. Walked in the door and they say it ought to be arriving anytime. My reply was if it doesn’t I come to get my money back. Well I wondered around looking at there inventory and noticed it was 4pm so about time I got ready to grab the door out comes the servive rep. Knew that didn’t look good. They call Conway freight and so they say they had told them it was being tracked and it was 5 mins away. After questioning to Conway rep. they finally admitted the frig. was lost. They had no idea where it was. Lost -N-Space.
