I thought that installing the little winterizing kit would be a piece of :Cake:
Should have known better, eh? Ah well, at least I had an interesting project for a rainy September day and it turned out better in the end.

RVHH Chief Cook and Bottle Washer - LoveYourRV.comSeptember 22, 2015 at 10:25 pm #16316Nice “Mod” Ray! Also I think you tamed the pump a little, it is still sounds loud but I can’t hear that droning “Machine Gun” noise! Love the box/coffee table, I would love to know were you get the catches for the top! Good “Mod”, and with a better pump you will be RV Happy!!!
Happy Trail—Pal!!!
September 23, 2015 at 6:53 am #16340I installed one of these 2 years ago, greatly reduces the pump noise and cycling rate, very compact unit, would easily fit in your new pump enclosure.

Thanks for the tip, always wondered about an accumilator tank. I’ve also have had this pump recommended to me by a long time fulltime RVer.

RVHH Chief Cook and Bottle Washer - LoveYourRV.comOctober 23, 2015 at 2:53 pm #17833Update – I just swapped ou the original Flojet pump for a new Shurflo 4008 pump and it is much quieter now.
RVHH Chief Cook and Bottle Washer - LoveYourRV.comOctober 23, 2015 at 4:53 pm #17835Yea Eddie convince us to swap ours at while we were doing the solar. Right now though I’m having a time with it getting air in line. afraid we might have developed a leak somewhere. Talked with Eddie today and we are trying a few things to see if we can get rid of the problem. When we installed the pump it has performed well, but all of a sudden it seems to be acting up and whats strange its mostly when you use shower. Oh well need to rub a rabbits foot or something to get all my kinks straight.
By the way good job on the new coffee table Ray. Oh I noticed Angie looks like she winks at you in the video when you show camera her way.

October 24, 2015 at 8:36 pm #17854Hi Ray! Glad you got your pump installed before boondocking season starts. I’m happy we swapped out 5 years ago.The Shurflo 4008 pump beats the one our 5er came with, and it has more flow.
Happy Trails…Pal!!!
October 25, 2015 at 8:57 am #17878I added enough in an out flexible hose as well to loop them.
I’m thinking I could use the old Flojet as a fresh water transfer pump to extend boondocking. Maybe get myself a water bladder to use in the back of the truck. Then rig up a connector to plug into to the trailer plug to grab 12 volts.
RVHH Chief Cook and Bottle Washer - LoveYourRV.comOctober 25, 2015 at 12:37 pm #17882Hi Ray, thats what we do. I rotated the older pump into the transfer water tank job.
Happy Trails…Pal!!!
