    Link.

Investigators determined a woman had stepped out of a moving recreational vehicle. The woman has been identified as 49-year-old Tammy Williams.

Chief Deputy Derrick Cunningham said Williams was riding inside the RV with her parents, and she was on the couch. Her mother was in the restroom of the RV at the time. It’s not clear why she stepped out while it was traveling at about 65 miles per hour on I-65.

“Mother and father in the RV. The victim got up and opened the door and stepped out of the vehicle and right now we don’t know what happened. We have to wait on toxicology and autopsy reports before we make a conclusion,” Cunningham said.

That’s is sad and weird. Our door if you lock it, it wont open from the inside unless you unlock it. When I was 19 living in dallas I used to be a limo driver and one time as I was at a light someone opened the door and got in. Two girls wanting to go for a ride. After kicking them out I learned real quick to always lock the doors. We are in the habit when inside we always lock the door. When we do our pit stops for the dogs, the wife and I always try to open the door and we both say damn forgot it was locked lol.

I wonder if she was sleep walking.

That’s what I was wondering too, James.  My door is the same way, once locked you have to unlock to open.  I think you guys have a good strategy.  Always lock the doors.

Was talking to wife she had an interesting thought. If I was going 60 mph down the road,  it would be really hard to open the door. You would have to push the door really hard.

Maybe their’s opened the other way…you’d think if the door whipped outta your hand, you’d notice…I bet she was asleep….

If the door did open left to right, maybe it pulled her out.  Has anyone found a update on this???

This is weird and tragic!  Locking is certainly recommended, we always lock the coach doors while driving. Our prayers are with her and her family!!
