Its only pretend!  Surely we can for a few hours.  Everyone should “unplug” for a few hours.

I don’t think many people realize how much electronics they use in a day, even when camping.
Lets see, I towed my unit out with a computerized truck. The brakes on the trailer, operated by a controller, allowed me to arrive safely. My food was still cold in the fridge, operated by a circuit board. It was starting to get dark, so I turned on my LED lights.

I think you get the idea, if the semiconductor hadn’t been developed, life as we know it now wouldn’t exist. We certainly wouldn’t been having this conversation!

I can’t unplug at night cause of my Cpap machine so I will have to unplug for an hour or so every day. But a different time every day

I like the days before computers cell phones and texting, remember when people talked to each other. I don’t tweet twitter or facebook.  I do enjoy computer and friendly sites, but all the nonsense you see is ridiculous, bad drivers texting, kids sitting playing on their phones when an elderly lady should have been offered a seat at red lobster, plus their parents should have told the kids to move their butts and let the lady with the walker have a seat. I was standing at other end of waiting area,I guess manners are forgotten with some ,but  not all thank goodness.

I  agree Larry, manners have been forgotten, lost or just not taught. In a society where we have less and less actual physical (face to face) contact basic manners are forgotten. We would have gotten our butts whooped if some older, pregnant or disabled needed a seat and we did not offer it. We held open doors for other people, said please and thank you. Technology is wonderful, but also so impersonal

    That’s not technology’s fault.
