In our cougar we have a island with the sinks. Over head are 3 lights with bulbs that have a silver base with the prongs opposite each othe. The letters and numbers are 3a- 1076. Now over the dinning room table is a lamp with bulbs that have a bronze base and the lettering is cec 1076. they too have prongs across from each other.  I took one of each and swapped and they would not work in each others receptacle. Help.

Are you replacing incandescent bulbs with LED’s?

Looking up the numbers, I think one of them has double contacts and the other only has a single contact so they are not compatible. The sockets would be different.

See this page 1076 bulbs come in single and double contacts.

Looking at the bottom of the bulbs there are two contact points.

Calling Keystone didn’t help much. The bulbs are available at your local dealership and they recommend not replacing with LED. The bulbs with the bronze base showed 71-1076 and the silver base just showed 1076.

I’m confused. Are you trying to replace with LED bulbs and it isn’t working or is the problem that you can’t swap the incandescent bulbs into each others receptacle?

I am trying to replace with LED ,sorry for the confusion. Its confusing to me when both bulbs have two tips on bottom and have 1076 on them but one is silver and the other broze and you cant use either one in the other. Just trying to get the right bulbs so I don’t have to go through the hassel of exchanging if they are wrong.

Looking at the pictures, I see that you could put the bulbs in 2 different positions. With incandescent bulbs, this doesn’t matter. With LED’s it does, as they are polarity sensitive. First, does the original bulb have two base contacts? Does your LED also have two base contacts? Insert into socket, does it light? If not, remove bulb, turn 180 degrees and re-insert. It should work now.

I’ve bought LED from Amazon before recently and it was the 1041 that goes to the lamp under the front wall there at the switch for landing gear. So I am going to purchase some more for the 921’s and 1076 I’m dealing with. I should have them by Thursday and will let yall know how they do. We are going up to Shenandoah Crossing near Gordansville,VA this weekend. One last trip before we winterize BB(the fifth wheel’s name). Thanks for the support yall.

We want to change out our lights for LED but they are EXPENSIVE.  Have about  6 to 8 double lite and 5 single lites.  Will change out slowly over the year.  We don’t boon dock so its not as much power useage as the noise from the converter.  Makes wanting to take a regular lamp along.

We are going to slowly change out all of out 921″s to LED’s because we boondock most of the summer and they draw MUCH LESS juice!
