I was thinking- those who live up north and go south for most of the winter, have you found if you did have health issues it made a difference having more heat and sun- or not? I’m curious.

My wife has allergies like hay fever and she really notices the difference compared to BC. Many people find the dry warm  air better for their aches and pains. I feeel happier with the sunshine vs back home on the coast where the winters are so dreary and gray.

Only issue we ran into is Carol has bronchitis.  We were told south Texas is dry.  It’s not, so Carol had a flare up.  We will try AZ next year where the humidity is much lower.  Otherwise we both felt better being warm and in the sun (except for those few rainy cool days).

Know what you mean.  DH has bronchitis.  When its cool and wet, he stays in.  Can’t wait to move out of Michigan.

Bob and I like to look at snow, but we’ve done enough shoveling! The younger ones can take over. The cold has been very drainning, sun gives us energy!B-)

It will be interesting to see how my DDDDH (darling, demented, dumbutt, duh, dearest husband)will do, he has severe COPD and humidity does him in but we both love the water and would like spend at least part of our time on the ocean or gulf of Mexico. Hopefully getting out of the dirt dust and grain dust of Kansas will help him. Time will tell

Yep, cold and wet does not do well for those with breathing problems.  My other half (DH) just started with a CPAP.  Also signed up with Planet Fitness.  When he loses some weight hopefully he will feel better.  He really needs to move around.

DH will likely be helped by the salt air from the ocean.  It helps Carol.  PS – missed a D – devoted
