This theoretically could have happened, but I’m not saying.

If you decide to leave your water dripping for a night, because of cold weather..you know like you’ve done since you were a kid…be VERY sure which tank that drain is plumbed to.

For example, say you leave the bathroom sink dripping because the faucet is more easily adjusted to drip…IF said faucet is plumbed to the black tank, and IF you have the black valve closed (as you should), there is a very real possibility that when you stumble into the bathroom first thing in the morning and plop down on the throne you will be greeted by frigid water enveloping your hot, electric-blanket-warmed, booty.

It is not a pleasant experience and will lead to dancing (once you can move again) and a ludicrous speed trip out to the valves to remedy the situation….in your robe, of course.

On my old class c, the bathroom sink drained into the black, and the tub drained into the gray. Convenience of construction, of course!

Well now that I KNOW…I think it’s kind of a good idea…extra water for the black tank.  Hands-and-face-washing and teeth-brushing in that Barbie-sized sink won’t add that much.

However, this is one thing I really, really would have liked to have known.

Theoretically, of course, your job on the seals must have been good, otherwise your bathroom would have bee subjected to the “Black Flood” again!

We believe in insulation &  heat,  not drip method. That way there is no chance of overfilling either tank!!

So far we’ve not had to deal with any length of freezing and hope that we won’t have to.  ;-)

Yeah, well…teens weather caught all of us off guard.  Crazy weather here for November.  Where’s that global warming I’ve been hearing about?  :)

I pray to the Black Tank gods that I will never have that again…theoretically…
