We started redecorating our RV to have a more homey feel. We painted the walls, installed a tile back splash, replaced the valances with drapes, changed the wall light fixtures and cabinet hardware. We also removed the carpeting on the step entering into the bath area and installed a hard wood step. The graphics on the walls are stencil transfers and are very easy to put on. Total cost so far $400.00 most of the cost was for the back splash. Still to be done, replace flooring, kitchen sink & faucet, and some light fixtures. I hope the attachment can be opened so you can see the pics, as I am not very computer savvy.

I converted the .doc file to a .pdf in case folks can’t open this on things like an Ipad

RVHH Chief Cook and Bottle Washer - LoveYourRV.comNovember 21, 2014 at 9:02 am #7544WOW. Looks awesome. I love the back splash. Is it that peel and stick kind or the one you apply mortar and then grout.
The drapes made a total change. I like that idea,
So you painted the walls and added that stencil. Where did you find the stencil? I am thinking maybe hobby lobby. You totally changed the look inside with minor things.
Thanks for the before and after pictures
November 21, 2014 at 9:27 am #7545I keep going back and forth looking at the pictures, What color brown is that? It goes great with the cabinets. Makes them pop more
November 21, 2014 at 11:13 am #7546Looks great. The paint with the separate color for the wainscoting and the curtains make it look very homie. We did the same backsplash, brightens up the kitchen and classes it up at the same time. We won’t be doing the paint and curtains for a while as we just bought our unit. Wish they would let you order a stripped down unit as I would certainly opts out of a number of things, like the window treatments, furniture and flooring. Once we wear ours in we will make some of those changes.
November 21, 2014 at 11:56 am #7547James the back splash is a peel & stick plastic by Smart Tile (glass tiles add to much weight), wall color is a brown espresso and the stencils were purchased thru, http://www.highstylewalldecals.com. The tile and paint were from Home Depot. The Smart Tile web site has a variety of tiles and installation videos. http://www.thesmarttiles.com/en_us/ Another note about High Style is that they will custom size any decal, this was very useful in making things fit in a RV.
November 21, 2014 at 1:41 pm #7549Wow. I have been putting off pulling down those ugly valances, but you two have just become my inspiration! What a difference. Like the difference between builder-boring and super customized S&B! I love the pretty sconces and the paint and the cool details but the wine bottle is probably my favorite.

Thanks for the look!

November 21, 2014 at 1:55 pm #7552Yes. Great job. If you didn’t know better, it would look like a S & B house. It would make fulltiming feel different.
November 21, 2014 at 5:25 pm #7555thanks for the conversion Ray!

November 23, 2014 at 10:56 am #7618WOW- what a difference, it makes it look homey but also much bigger! That is awesome, I love the back splash, that will be the first thing when we buy our rig.
January 21, 2015 at 3:23 pm #8553Great job! Especially love the SmartTiles and the frame around the slide-out — I’ve been wondering how to spruce that up.
April 21, 2015 at 3:43 am #10297Pam and Anna,
I really like your modifications especially the tile in the kitchen. Is that a stick on tile self adhesive or do you have to apply the glue ?
By the way, I spent 1 month in Zephyr Hills 2 and 3 years ago off of Chancy Road.
Take Care
DaleApril 21, 2015 at 4:08 am #10298Dale, It’s a peel and stick, brand is Smart Tile. Chancey road has a lot of rv parks and Zephyrhills has close to 30 or 40.
