A suggestion

Not sure if you can do it, but I’d suggest opening external links in a new window.  I like watching the videos and viewing the other sites, but sometimes I get distracted and click on other stuff there so it makes it harder to come back here.

If you can set the system to open links in new tab then all you need to do is close the other tab to come back to this site.

I’ll look into it. Problem with this site is it has so many moving parts like WordPress, BuddyPress, BBPress, rtMedia, etc and they all have their own quirks. most of them follow the WordPres default action of opening links in the same window.

Installing a blanket open in new tab plugin or code can have unforeseen consequences. I’ll test a few options out and see if anything breaks.

In the meantime, you should be able to right-click on a link and choose open in new tab or window. That’s what I do out of habit, but I know it can be tricky on a phone or tablet.

I added a plugin that should make most external links open in a new tab or window. In the forums, it’s up to the post author to choose open in new window when inserting a link.

Seems to work OK in my tests
