Dumb newby question alert. It seems 5th wheel rigs are the most popular. Can anyone tell me why?

AnonymousShorter tow length, more headroom, usually a bit more upscale than a TT, larger slides, larger windows, dual AC, many have 50 amp service so more usable power.

They are very roomy, high ceilings and have a lot of storage space, especially compared to travel trailers and Class C rigs. Very stable to tow.
For full-time RVers, it is usually much cheaper to buy a fifth wheel and truck vs a Class A and a tow behind car. Also less mechanical maintenance having only one engine.
There are pros and cons to each and it all depends on your own preferences.

November 13, 2015 at 6:06 pm #18710We just got ours a couple of months ago and are currently living in it and doing updating and repairs. We love it though, way more room than our previous 27 ft Dutchmen Classic! This is a Dutchmen Grand Junction 37QSL, 2005.
