    Question:
I’m OK with the flag order, and don’t want an exchange, I’m just suggesting that you think about installing a third panel on the car flags to prevent the bleed through.
    Example – http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0042G5RI8/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B0042G5RI8&linkCode=as2&tag=lo02f-20&linkId=7OFMLSLSP4BQFVUR
They us a internal panel on the flag to stop this problem.
Just a suggestion, forward it to people that can change things

I represent a growing online community that would order flags if not for this problem.

    Thanks Ray.

ok now that the RV is ready for winter storage, I am going to hand paint my RV Happy Hour banner/Flag. I made a paper one and put it out side the RV to see the reaction.  It was met with quite a variety of reactions. Sooo I will be making a few changes.  Will add ” .com”  thus letting people know about the website and the group. Also will add a removable add on that will have the time “4-6pm” if our site is hosting Happy hour that day.

Greattings all. I have come to learn the expense behind the cost of producing a flag. There is more to producing one that I thought. From the best material to use based on many factors from color fading to image cracking. Yes a one sided flag is the cheapest but it’s not appropriate for a flying flag. A tight woven nylon is the industry choice do to its light weight to wind ratio for activity. Thus you need two sides,a inner backing, full sewing around the edges as well, as the fly end has a 4 stich patern and the header is a strong holding edge with eyes for tie down.

With out going into months of trial and error with my friends we ordered four flags that we thought we going to be the answer but, they were very heavy and course that when we printed we got more paint on the plate and a total bleed through. That flopped. So, a nylon flag, two sided with a inner backer, two brass ilets, heavy header, a nice flag with all cost involved will cost us $70.00 ea if we order 25-50 flags. This is the cheepest I can get them manufactured. Now we haven’t given up yet. There is another way to produce this flag and we are working on the cost of the machine and material to see if it will produce a good quality flag at a decent cost. Hang with me I haven’t thrown in the flag yet,LOL

I’ve been looking into sewing these and the good flag material for two sides with a liner runs about $30.  The material is 3’x5′, so the flag is slightly smaller.

Then you have to have extra for the logo (each side), webbing for the header, grommets, thread, spray adhesive, and of course, labor.  And custom flags are very labor intensive since you’re basically starting over every time, though I bet they have some templates stored up…lol!

I’m sure the volume flag makers get a discount on fabric, but since most folks are ordering custom flags, you can see why it costs what it does.

    Norma,

im working with some friends of mine who have invested in this market for a business. We have already made five flags of different materials , run them through the washing machine checking for runs, material durability, fading, etc. as far as the logo no pattern required just the photo from ray as this computer software will trans pose the photo to size and color. The last flag we made we thought would be our answer as it was 100% cotton HTD. It was very course and heavy alright, not what we thought it would be.We ran a precoat “primer” of white to help seal the fabric not uncommon to do,then ran the print through. When we pulled the flag off the plate. According to the system we applied $9.36 amount of paint to the fabric ,but found about $6.00 worth of paint left on the plate, lol not to cost effective. Now learning why thes flags are so expensive. We could do a single sided flag but that defeats the hole purpose of a flying flag. the material we have  coming in is a standard nylon that manufactures use. The cost becomes heavy due to the sewing of the halves, the inner backer, and the leading edge backer. The brass rings are cheep, it’s the labor cost of assembley that kicks these flags up. Still working on this, I don’t give up easy. We can farm this out, but have found it will be very expensive unless you order at least 1,000 then you can get the price in the $25.00 range.
