One of the reasons we spend our RVing summers on Vancouver Island besides spending time with our family and friends is my wife’s love of boating.

We always pick an RV Park close to a marina so she can enjoy her little 17.5 foot Arima Sea Chaser boat nicknamed “Snoopy”.

This summer we are enjoying the Thunderbird RV park in Campbell River – http://www.loveyourrv.com/review-thunderbird-rv-park-in-campbell-river-bc/ The Discovery Harbor Marina is only 10 minutes away.

In this video, you’ll find highlights of our recent boating excursion to Desolation Sound. An amazingly beautiful place for boating and camping on British Columbia’s southwest coast.

Link to RV Park in Quadra Island I showed in the video – http://capemudgeresort.bc.ca/RV-park.php

Hi Ray, nice video! Anne is quite the captain, nice boat Anne. Love all the footage of the mountains and coves around Desolation Sound. Thanks for the video, now I know we will have to get our passports someday and visit your “neck of the woods”.

    Cheers and Happy Trails Pal!!!

The area is also full of beautiful freshwater lakes, plus lots of the beaten path backwoods camping spots, boaters and RVers dream up here. ;)  Best time of year is May to end of September. Outside of the that likely won’t freeze too much but expect a lot of rain and cloudy days. Temps in the 40’s.
