Removing stains from ceiling leaks

We have an older Hitchhiker with carpet on the ceiling.  The previous owners had leaks around the ceiling vents and there are stains in the carpet on the ceiling.  I’ve tried bleach, carpet cleaner of different types, hydrogen peroxide, and NOTHING works.  Does anyone have a magic solution?

The good news is the stain comes out.  The bad news I don’t remember what finally did it for me.  Like you I just started going through everything in the laundry room but finally I hit one something.  I am pretty sure I used a bathroom cleaner that touts stain removal.  I am thinking it was Kaboom.  It completely removed that stain without noticeably over cleaning the room material.  I followed the label directions: applying letting seat, wet blotting it off, and drying with a dry towel.  The repeated a couple more times, each time a little bigger area to feather the margins.

I too tried hydrogen peroxide and Oxyclean but in my experience they only remove organic stains like wine and blood.  And, of course, I did not use bleach for fear of removing fabric color.

Just an update:  we had reason to have ChemDry clean our home carpets, so at the same time we asked them to clean the carpets AND CEILING in our rig.  Their spot treatment got out almost ALL of the water stains in the “carpeted” ceiling!!!  I am thrilled!!!  I highly recommend ChemDry for cleaning a rig!!!
