Put this under isn’t this strange. The kitchen water faucet has a milky look to it, non greasy and no smell. It is in both hot and cold water and is only at the kitchen faucet, not bath sink, toilet, or shower. I have purged the system several times with bleach, yet the milky look still remains. Anybody have any ideas?

Wierd. What happens if you fill a clear glass and allow it to settle, is there sediment? or is it maybe just a lot of little bubbles making it look milky, maybe a plugged up screen at the end of the faucet. Another thought, is there a filtration system on that faucet? Maybe it is gummed right up and messing up the water.

Try letting it settle as Ray suggests.  The aerator on the tap will often cause that.  If you have bleached the system it should be sterile but if that is still a concern you can have a water lab test it for $20 or so.  You will need to use their bottle.

Thank you, I’ll take a look at all the suggestions. But it is strange.

It appears the culprit was the screen at the faucet, so thanks to all on pointing me in the right direction.
