Just finished installing new shower faucet and head. Nice upgrade! Work awesome and I think it looks a lot more swanky than the old set.

June 14, 2014 at 6:53 pm #4258Very nice Ray! The new shower fixtures look so awesome I got all excited and want to change ours! Then Nancy reminded me that the kitchen faucet leaks and we hate the wimpy bathroom sink faucet so the shower can wait.. She ‘s right you know..

June 14, 2014 at 7:13 pm #4263Yup there is always things to fix up and modify on the RV, but that’s part of the fun. Took me a long while to finally install these. Next up is a light fixture that has a defective socket due to heat from the bulb, going to swap it out for a nifty LED fixture with a dimmer.
June 14, 2014 at 7:20 pm #4264Dimmer sounds like a great idea, some of the LED’s we’ve seen are very bright indeed!

June 15, 2014 at 8:03 am #4273Works awesome Eddie, I’ve had several showers now. Great pressure, much better than the original shower head. I really like the swivel ball head on the holder so you can get the right angle. The new 1/4 turn taps are great to, I hated the originals, felt like three turns on them, they were so finicky to get the right temperature with, wasted half my water when boondocking adjusting the things.
June 15, 2014 at 2:33 pm #4288A hint I got from Andy Baird’s website, install a water heater thermometer, you can find small ones at Pet smart that have a remote sensor that can be tucked between the Styrofoam and tank. These are designed for terrariums. Find your perfect temperature, about (96 – 100 F) and shut off the water heater. Use only the hot tap, and save the unheated water in a jug for other uses. Shower head with shut off valve will save more water. Win, win, you save water and propane!
June 15, 2014 at 3:05 pm #4291Love it Roger!

Cool tip, I’m gonna give that a try. I have very easy access to the HW heater area.
June 15, 2014 at 7:12 pm #4298Great tip. Thanks for sharing the thermometer idea. Who said camping wasn’t fun!
June 15, 2014 at 7:18 pm #4299I really like dinner switches in most places. Hubby and I can never agree on what the right amount of light in a room should be. Dimmers solve that discussion. When I’m in a room I keep the lights up high. My other half turns them down low. We are usually not in the same room in the evening since I am a craft queen and he is a t.v. fanatic. I have an RV picked out with three different areas for t.v. watching, crafting and other (like there could be anything else important). Ha Ha
September 1, 2014 at 4:29 am #5919We purchased one of these and have yet to install account of problems with RV and she is back at dealership having repairs. As soon we get her home we plan on installing it and this video was alot of help. So thanks Ray for the pointers.
September 1, 2014 at 7:29 am #5920Your most welcome Lola and Rush, thanks for joining our happy hour.

Love the new shower, only thing I changed from the way I initially installed it was to move the on/off button valve on the shower head from the head part down under the faucet instead. Being up on the head it made it too heavy for the holder unless done up really tight also it then stuck out from the wall too far. I think below is where it is suppose to be.
Cheers Ray
September 1, 2014 at 7:55 am #5924I;ll keep that in mind when I install mine.
