After having battled my faucets for a month now, Roger and the gang have determined my faucet assembly is toast.  I’m going to get another (new!) one.  While I figure out exactly which one to get, I’ve been ruminating on my actual sink.

I’m probably going to redo the countertop, so that would be a good time to replace the sink too.  I looked and looked for a rig with double sinks, but now I think that might have been a mistake.

A single sink would let me put bigger things in there.  I could always use dishpans to divide the sink up for smaller jobs.

Actually I just also realized I’ll have to bathe the Bock in the shower and that is not a tempting prospect!

How about it?  Do you have double or single sink in the kitchen?  Do you like it? Would you rather trade for the other setup?  Why/why not?

We have a double sink in ours. A majority of the time the wife keeps the cover on one of the sinks. She prefers counter space. We use a lot of paper plates to limit the amount of washing so a double sink isn’t to important

Norma We have a double sink it works for us, we use the one side for a dish drainer which we keep n it all the time.

We have more counter space with the island that we have, so we don’t need to put the covers over the sink. I think it will come down to what will work for you the best.

We have a double sink and like it. One side is much larger than the other so it works out well for doing dishes. I wash in the larger one and use the small one for rinsing and stacking, then dry and place on counter. It also has plastic covers to increase counter space and to hide dirty dishes or let things soak.

I am like James wife, I keep one side covered to use as counter space. I am sadly lacking in counter space in my class C

We also have the double sink. One thing to think about, if you’re planning on boondocking, a smaller sink wastes less water. We also use a dishpan in the sink, we save the cold water from running the shower to temperature and use it later. Our sink plugs seep, so a dishpan saves us some water.

A cat litter box may be big enough to wash Chewy, you could do it outside on a picnic table. It also makes a great low profile storage bin! Gotta multi-purpose everything!

Our sink is like Ray’s.  Funny, I wash in the smaller and rinse/stack in the larger. LOL.  I never “hide” the dirty dishes tho.  Too smelly.
