Awesome, Ray!  I’m short and need all the help I can get, lol!

Now, since I’m a noob RVer, and since I’m pretty dang sure I don’t have one of those rods, and SINCE I’ve never opened my awning…could you do a vid on how to use the blooming thing for its intended purpose?

in the middle of your awning there is a loop that you hook the hooker onto and pull down. My advise NOrma before you do that go buy another strap. Most likely your could be dry rotted.

thats the link NOrma so you will know what i talking about

reason i say get one before you open the awning is if it tears rips its will be a pain to roll up and a worse pain to unroll to attach the new one.

If your luck is like mine it will tear. YOu will leave the awning open and run to the store to buy one. either they wont have one or by the time you get back some freak texas weather will hit and your awning will be gone

See?!?!  This is the precise reason I haven’t worried about opening it up yet!  You know how windy it is here…I think I’ll wait until next summer….

Yes, but what if the awning is ripped down the middle and the arms fall off??  See?  I’m not a complete optimist….I’m sorry, my Maxine is showing…
