What the heck is wrong with people that start campfires in a crowded campground then don’t have the common courtesy to keep it stoked so it doesn’t smoke the f’ing place out. sheesh! Are they that dense! Or just don’t care about other folks who don’t need to be choking on their stupid campfire smoke. I’m I off base here. Grouchy old guy?

@averagecampersadventures Hi, I saw the video you posted about the Yirego Washer. I am looking to purchase a portable washer. Have you tried any other portables?

Howdy Campers! I wanted to share a wonderful boondocking spot in NE New Mexico that we visited last spring.

Look’s like a good place to spend some time. The temperatures look perfect also now, 95-60 F.

Thanks for the breathtaking views. Looks like a bucket list location.

I love days like that with big puffy clouds. Did you drag your bum getting there?
Ol’Red the BLM ranger said there were a few dips. Did he come visit? haha-
No, the road was wonderful! Way better than the BisTi. The only bad dip was where we parked. There was many turn-outs to camp, and a nice campground at the end made in a circle drive so no way to get stuck down a one way path!
A real treat to visit and see!
Happy Trails…Pal!!! -
WE did not see our buddy Ol’Red, Ray!

I now have 4 Interstate six volt lead acid. I’ve had to stick to a frugal budget building my boondocking system, upgrading things as I can afford it. They have been a good bang for the buck though messier to deal with and require more maintenance than AGM.

You can come and visit our high 80s and “HOT”, “DRY” 90s here in NE Wyoming.
Bring your “Fire Fighting” gear! Ha!! Ha!!
(We don’t count the fires anymore, just the days between them!)
Happy Trails…Pal!!! -
I know, I think the same systems keep coming over the mountains to here. Mud is one of our landscaping features now! Humidity in the trailer hasn’t dropped below 60% for weeks, everything feels somewhat soggy. We still have to run the electric heaters every night.

Beautiful place to spend the summer.

That’s the one good thing. Last year in BC was horrible for wildfires, this year it’s so cool and wet there are hardly any. Hope you folks get a bit of rain to squelch them.

Thanks Ray and Eddie–I really appreciate your help!
Ray–are your batteries regular lead acid, AGM or lithium? What brand did you get? Thanks!
Maybe even Anne will dump the tanks now! haha

Thanks Ray!
Hi Rhonda, I’m sorry I haven’t got back with you yet. We had to dump all of our files and pictures because some rotten computer geek in his underwear put a virus ransom on our computer thru a FedEx non delivery e-mail. Don’t open anything you can’t identify 100%!
Also I have been installing a 450-AH system for a nice couple in their…[Read more]

You’re in good hands with Eddie Rhonda. He has installed a ton of systems for boondocking.
The more batteries you can squeeze in there the better. I saw a big difference when I went from 2 to 4. The sun doesn’t always cooperate by shining for us. ![]()
Cheers Ray

Once had a neighbour that used to burn her kids diapers in her burning barrel. 😳
Agreed ,control your fire . Back in the day and I am going back 50 plus years , the only fire I remember is the Colman stove. If you wanted a wood fire ,it was in a designated area away from campsites, like a beach area or a central public eating area . Just got back into rv -ing a few years ago , didn’t know people could be so lame . If you…[Read more]
