Has anyone attempted replacing the gasket on the overhead bunk window?  I have a leak, I’m not 100% sure this is where it’s coming from but I can see part of the rubber gasket is missing and one of the previous owners put silicone around the parts that are missing.

I’ve also read of people replacing the glass with a panel.  I don’t need the light and if it’s easier than replacing the seals I would consider sealing the entire section off.

Nope, I haven’t done it, but if that’s the way you decide to go, I’d like to see pics and get your thoughts on it.  I’d like to close that window up too…seems to just add heat to the interior.  Anyone sleeping up there would want to look out the window at their head anyway.  I’ve got three windows and an overhead vent up there…wouldn’t miss the front window at all….

I found some sources for window parts, gaskets, mouldings, etc.  I just watched a few YouTubes on re-sealing windows, something they recommend doing every couple of years or so…  I didn’t see that in the manual.

This weekend I’m going to break out the ladder and take a close look.  If it looks like the videos (they were working on side windows) I may take it apart & see what’s really going on…

I’ll try to post some pics.
