Hate being a “Debbie-Downer”, but I’d really like to hear from seasoned campers….

I camp solo and a newbie.
So far I’ve parked in a well secured private park. Hopefully this summer (I’m already making plans) I’ll get merge out of my cocoon and do some real traveling. After reading a blog from a woman concerned about her Private camp going public and her experience with being assaulted, I find my mind worrying a bit.
My plan was to stay within membership only places. Plan to get Thousand Trails, maybe Passport.
But I’m wondering about other folks stories, opinions, etc.

I recommend checking out this blog. Excellent one by a single lady in her sixties traveling around in a small trailer, herself and a couple dogs.  She mostly boondocks.
